Towards 2030: The Practitioner-Researcher Collaborated Bereavement Care
  1. Authors must indicate one of the following six themes that best describes the content of their abstract:
    1. Public Health Approach in Bereavement Care
    2. Assessment in Bereavement Care
    3. Practices in Bereavement Care
    4. Disenfranchised Grief
    5. Insights on Spirituality and Bereavement
    6. Miscellaneous Topics in Bereavement Care
  2. The abstracts should contain the following:
    1. Abstract title (less than 25 words)
    2. Authors’ name and affiliations (Type the first name followed by the Surname. Omit degrees and titles. Underline the presenting author. The name of the institution and country should be included)
      Example:
      Chris WONG1 & Peter SMITH2
      1 Department of Social Work and Social Administration, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
      2 Department of Social Work, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
    3. Abstract body (not more than 250 words). Abstract submitter should include the required contents below in the abstract body:
      (1) Background and Objectives
      (2) Methods
      (3) Results or Practices, and
      (4) Implications and Conclusion
      *There should be no tables, diagrams or pictures in the abstracts.
  3. Authors must download the Word template for abstract submission here and submit their abstracts online through this link: https://hku.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2l4GeEpiYDy7kNM. Please use the name of the first author followed by the abstract title as the file name, e.g., Chris WONG_The effect of inadequate bereavement care. Receipt of abstracts will be acknowledged through email. All abstract submitters will be notified of the decision of the Scientific Committee by the announcement date specified on the conference landing page.
  4. Preference for Oral or Poster presentation should be indicated in your submission(s). However, the final presentation mode will be subject to the Scientific Committee’s evaluation and will be advised to the first author within the acceptance notice.
  5. Authors can submit at most two abstracts as first author.
  6. The first author of the abstract must be the presenting author or one of the presenting authors. The first author should register for all his/her abstracts, and will receive all correspondence concerning the submission and is responsible for informing the other authors of the status of submission.
  7. For authors submitting more than one abstract, they can upload them under the same registration form. We encourage first authors to present their oral/poster presentation for one abstract, and coauthors present the additional accepted abstracts.
  8. Presenting authors must be registered participants.
  9. Abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English.
  10. All materials in the abstract should be original work.
  11. All abstracts should be submitted no later than the deadline specified on the conference landing page.
  12. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information in the abstract. Submitted abstracts will be considered final, and while no further editing of the content should be expected, the conference secretariat reserves the right to make minor format and English grammatical adjustments for the purpose of ensuring consistency and enhancing readability.
